Champlain Discovery offers participants a combination of a hands-on boat building day camp followed by a 10-day wilderness expedition. This unique combination of activities sets the stage for a truly life-changing experience for all participants.
Champlain Discovery starts with a three-week daytime camp as you build your very own custom 17’ kayak under the guidance of expert boat builders.
Once kayaks are complete, we load them and our gear onto the museum’s boat trailer to be dropped off in Whitehall, NY for a 10-day overnight adventure. Along with your fellow kayakers, we will paddle from Whitehall to Burlington, VT.
