The Annual Assembly of the Wooden Canoe Heritage Association will be held at Paul Smith’s College in Paul Smiths, New York, within the grounds of Adirondack Park. The event begins on the afternoon of  Tuesday July 11 and continues until Sunday July 16.

Pre-registration is due by June 20, 2017. Registration fee for adults is $20 per day or $75 for the whole event. There is plenty going on all week, including birdwatching excursions, children’s events, raffles, campfires, and of course, paddling expeditions. Learn all about paddle carving or how to make folding seats, backrests, and packbaskets.  Find out about in canoeing techniques,  poling, photography, wilderness lore, and lapstrake canoe building.

Lodging is available on campus in the dormitories or at the Paul Smith College Alumni Campground for an additional fee. Meals are available at the Student Center dining hall. Pre-registrants can pay by the meal or buy the full meal plan in advance. Children under 12 eat free.
