′KESA is a 17′ LOA peapod (16′ on waterline) that is based on the Cape Split peapod design at Mystic Seaport. The boat is strip-built and ‘glass and epoxy covered below the waterline. Topsides are glued-lap sapele plywood.
While intended as an oar-powered boat, KESA does have small CLC lug rig and a removable rudder for downwind sailing. KESA is a veteran of many Small Reach Regattas and is a capable near-coastal cruiser (an ideal boat for the Maine Island Trail). Sale includes a Trailex SUT-350 aluminum trailer customized for this boat. Excellent condition.
