This SCAMP was custom built over a period of several years from 2016 to 2021 – it is not a kit boat. Since completing her I have done a lot of day-sailing as well as several overnight cruises. I made a number of modifications to the original design as documented on the website https:///scamp2016.wordpress.com.
I am selling her now because I have built another boat and don’t want her to sit idle. She is located at my home on Denman Island, BC, a small island off the coast of Vancouver Island. She is on a RoadRunner trailer that is included in the sale. The only item in the photos not included in the sale is the electric outboard.

Features:
- All parts are Hydrotek (maranti) marine plywood painted with primer and several coats of Interlux Brightside. Note that the exterior was NOT fully fiberglassed, only the chines, which were taped on the exterior and filleted on the interior.
- Solid mahogany centerboard and rudder blade.
- Spars are locally grown Douglas Fir.
- Tanbark sail by Neil Pryde Sails with 3 sets of reef points.
- 9’ spruce oars with carbon-fiber sleeves (break down to 4/5’ for storage).
- Internal hard ballast (sandbags) rather than the designed water ballast system.
- Cedar floorboards are designed to be lifted as a unit between the tops of the bench seats to create a queen-size sleeping surface.
- Extensive watertight compartments as well as storage compartments in the bench seats and forward of the mast.
