SUMMARY:Scottish Tradition Boat Festival
DESCRIPTION:The Scottish Traditional Boat Festival at Portsoy in Aberdeenshire will shift from a physical event to a digital festival due to uncertainty that remains regarding the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions in the area. \nThe virtual event will be held from June 25-27 and serve as a preview for next year’s (hopefully in-person) festival. \nEvent organizers hope the virtual festival provides a way to share the festival with a wider audience\, both at home and abroad\, as an opportunity to share some of the special elements which collectively make the festival unique. \nTickets can be purchased directly from the festival website.  The price of admission is yet to be determined.

DESCRIPTION:Champlain Discovery offers participants a combination of a hands-on boat building day camp followed by a 10-day wilderness expedition. This unique combination of activities sets the stage for a truly life-changing experience for all participants. \nChamplain Discovery starts with a three-week daytime camp as you build your very own custom 17’ kayak under the guidance of expert boat builders. \nOnce kayaks are complete\, we load them and our gear onto the museum’s boat trailer to be dropped off in Whitehall\, NY for a 10-day overnight adventure.
