She’s an 18 V bottom sprit rigged sloop after the look of a design based on the 18′ modified sharpie skiff pg. 109 in Parkers book. This a ruggedly built boat of white oak framing and 3/8″ doug. fir marine plywood planking. Not stitch and glue but real oak keel, stem, stern knee chines and seat risers. The boat is in excellent condition. All thwarts are varnished white oak. The boat is a head turner getting compliments every time I take her out for a sail. She comes with a spare rudder, a kick up rudder, spare mast, sprit, and tiller. Also she is rigged so that all sail controls are within reach of the helmsman. A solar panel keeps a small battery charged to run a bilge pump. The boat is well balanced displaying little weather helm even when the jib is lowered. The 100 sq ft. main sail has one row of reef points. Jib is 32 sq ft. Both sails main and jib are in good condition. A pair of oars and paddle come with the boat. As well as a Danforth anchor with a chain and ½″ 50′ nylon warp. There are numerous improvements to the boat gained from over 20 yrs sailing her
Included in this sale is a galvanized trailer that has new tires , leaf springs and spare tire. Extended light bearing arms carry trouble free illumination and ease aligning the boat when hauling out. Why am I selling her. ?. She needs the care I cannot presently do.
A video of her sailing link is here. More images can be furnished to interested persons
