A Joel White adaptation of a Herreschoff design, the Catspaw is 12′ 8″ long with a 55″ beam. Built from plans by the WoodenBoat store, she is designed for sail and oar; carries 65 sq. ft. of sprit sail and has two rowing stations. The hull is cedar with fiberglass inside and out, two layers on the bottom, all painted Petit white, with blue ablative on the bottom. She has two spars of Douglas fir, both of which fit inside for transport, and a new Dacron sail. The ribs are made of steam bent ash; the transom, rails, centerboard trunk, seats, mast partner, deck and quarter knees are all mahogany. The keel, skeg and centerboard are oak.
A trailer is included and has all new wiring and lights, and a new tongue jack. The boat and trailer will tow easily, even with small cars.
