Built to plans by renowned sailboat designer Dudley Dix, Gracie is 15 feet long and 6 feet wide. She has a hull of okoume marine mahogany ply and a transom of book matched walnut veneer on marine ply. The gunwales, breast hook, quarter knees and hatch covers are holly with walnut accents.
She has a lifting centre board and full length side seats under which are 8 separate watertight floatation compartments. There are four large stowage areas under the thwarts. All fastenings and fittings (except for the brass keel strip) are stainless steel. The mast is fir and the sail plan is a balanced lug rig of 105 square feet designed by Todd Bradshaw.
With just a halyard, a downhaul and a mainsheet she is very easy to rig and equally easy and quick to take down. She sails well with a beam and hull plan that makes her very stable and an ideal family boat.
Gracie is located in Vancouver, Canada.
The asking price is US $5,500 which includes a custom aluminum launch dolly, new one piece spruce oars and a cover. Reasonable offers below the asking price will be considered.
