Dunphy runabouts were built in Oshkosh WI for many years, closing their doors in 1965. One wonderful feature, well ahead of their time, is the use of marine plywood lapstrake hulls. Practical, long lasting, lightweight, and strong.
This 16′ model is a fine example, with all parts included: floorboards, seats, the original steering wheel. Several of the white oak frames, approximately 2″ x 1/2″ need replacing. The floorboards and a few other components could be used as templates for replacement. The handsome wood windshield frame is intact and useable, though in need of attention.
The textured “fabric” covering material needs to be replaced; the good news is the original manufacturer is still producing this stuff.
The Johnson 40HP outboard is likely original to the boat; I can find no serial numbers, but the motor looks right for the era. All parts, steering cables, and operator are here. I have not run the motor.
The trailer is useable and included. $750.00
